1.0.8 Content Added new skill called Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to the SEO section of my Web Development skills page. Showcasing my up-to-date expertise in technical SEO, highlighting my ability to structure content for generative AI and voice search, and detailing how AEO is shaping the future of organic web visibility.
1.0.7 Content Published new blog post called Calgary Frontend Web Developer AI-Enhanced Portfolio Website. Showcasing my redesigned portfolio optimized for SEO, AISO, and GEO, highlighting my 10+ years of WordPress and Shopify development experience, and detailing how AI-enhanced search is shaping the future of web development.
1.0.6 Bug Fix A patch was released to resolve a bug where the reCAPTCHA badge was being hidden behind the main tag. The z-index of the badge has been increased to ensure it is always visible and correctly displayed on the page.
1.0.5 Bug Fix A patch was released to resolve a specific rendering issue on the Safari browser, as this functionality was already working correctly on all other browsers. This fix ensures that the underline for the active page link in the footer now appears as intended, specifically for links such as the Sitemap, Changelog, Cookie Policy, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service, providing a consistent user experience.
1.0.4 UX Improvement Configured Google Tag Manager to support Consent Mode using the Site Kit plugin, enabling proper tag behavior and compatibility with Google Analytics via Tag Coverage. Updated the cookie policy copy based on Termageddon’s recommendations to reflect the changes. Re-enabled the LinkedIn widget on the contact page as a result of the Consent Mode implementation.
1.0.3 UX Improvement Adjusted the z-index of the reCAPTCHA badge to ensure it remains visible above the footer navigation links. This update resolves a layering conflict where the badge was previously being obscured, maintaining both usability and compliance with Google’s display guidelines.
1.0.2 Performance Implemented advanced caching and performance settings using WP Rocket to improve page speed and Core Web Vitals. Optimizations included deferring JavaScript, delaying non-critical scripts, enabling CSS optimization, and removing unused CSS. These enhancements were applied after launch to ensure faster load times, improved user experience, and better SEO performance.
1.0.1 Content The changelog versioning format was updated from 1.x to 1.x.x to improve consistency and clarity in version tracking. This change was documented on the Changelog page, resubmitted for indexing via the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, and submitted for reindexing through Google Search Console (GSC) to support discoverability in both traditional and AI-driven search engines.

On the Uses page, AnswerThePublic was added under the Digital Marketing category, and NP Digital was listed as the creator of both AnswerThePublic and Ubersuggest to reflect their shared role in SEO and content strategy. For added clarity, abbreviations were introduced with (GSC) beside Google Search Console and (GTM) beside Google Tag Manager. Additionally, under the Primary Blog Resources > Web Design and Development section, the Generative Engine Optimized Blog (www.generativeengineoptimized.com) was added as a resource focused on AI-powered content optimization. This update was resubmitted for indexing on the Internet Archive Wayback Machine and submitted for reindexing via Google Search Console.
1.0.0 Deployment Initial website launch of the 2024/2025 Personal Portfolio Website of Nick Hiebert Web Developer in Calgary.
